We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic Web Designer to create attractive store designs for our fast-growing company.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new web and product pages;
- Develop a website design strategy with a focus on user experience;
- Optimizing content for SEO;
- Contribute to a style guide that dictates the colours, fonts, and design patterns;
- A strong appreciation for user-centred design;
- Incorporating functionalities and features into websites, with the help of the IT team;
- Optimizing sites for maximum speed and scalability;
- Conducting website testing;
- Convert raw images and layouts from a graphic designer into CSS/XHTML themes;
- Working with marketing teams to incorporate brand elements and relevant third-party apps into the website;
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness);
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback;
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Web Design experience
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio;
- Have a solid working knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML and CSS;
- Have a good knowledge of JavaScript and JQuery;
- Have a good knowledge of search engine optimization principles;
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues;
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively;
- Excellent communication skills – you have a way with words & can connect easily with others;
- Creativity and willingness to work on own initiative;
- (Optional) Experience with User Research, UX Audits and Usability Tests.
