Description

This role sits at the intersection of creative execution and performance strategy.

You will produce high-volume, performance-focused video ads across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google. Beyond editing, you will contribute to creative structure, hook development, and iteration cycles based on real performance data.

This is not a brand storytelling role. It is a direct-response, testing-driven environment.

The position begins with a short paid trial and transitions into a long-term role with growth opportunities into creative strategy and leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Edit high-converting video ads across multiple formats (9:16, 1:1, 16:9)
    • Produce 10–15 variations per week within structured testing cycles
    • Build modular ad structures with interchangeable hooks and bodies
    • Add captions, motion graphics, sound design, and platform-native elements
    • Contribute to script and hook refinement
    • Analyze performance data such as hook rate, retention, CTR, and CVR
    • Reverse-engineer winning ads from competitors
    • Integrate AI tools to improve speed and output quality
    • Participate in weekly creative reviews and iteration planning

This Role Is for You If

  • You have edited hundreds of direct-response ads, not just brand videos
    • You understand how editing decisions impact performance metrics
    • You are comfortable working within fast testing cycles
    • You proactively research trends and competitor ads
    • You experiment with AI tools and workflow optimization
    • You care about business outcomes, not just aesthetics

Areas of Accountability

Deliver consistent, high-quality video ads aligned with testing hypotheses and campaign structure.

Support hook development, script structure, and new concept generation.

Use performance feedback to improve future outputs.

Continuously improve editing systems, templates, and AI-assisted processes to increase output without sacrificing quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years editing performance-focused ads in eCommerce or DTC
    • Strong portfolio of direct-response video ads
    • Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro
    • Experience working within structured creative testing cycles
    • Clear understanding of retention and hook strategy

Strong Advantages

• After Effects capability
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (Runway, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Captions, etc.)
• Copywriting instinct for hooks and CTAs
• Experience in high-output creative teams

How We Work

  • Weekly creative sprints
    • Structured testing frameworks
    • Data-driven feedback loops
    • Clear ownership and accountability
    • High standards, low micromanagement

High performers in this role grow into broader creative strategy ownership over time.

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. A portfolio with at least 5 direct-response ads you edited
  2. A short explanation of one ad that drove measurable results
  3. Answers to the following screening questions (3–5 sentences each):
  • Share one ad that delivered strong results and explain what editing decisions influenced performance.
    • Break down an ad that recently caught your attention and explain why it worked.
    • Describe your workflow when working under a tight deadline.
